Polarized Target Bonn

Welcome to the Polarized Target Bonn!

The polarized target is an experimental tool to study spindependent observables in particle physics. It consits of various components allowing to dynamically align the spin of a nucleon in a solid state material (target material) along an external quantization axis at low temperatures and high magnetic fields. The »Polarized Target Group Bonn« is primarily concerned with development and design of components for and the operation of the polarized target set-up at various scattering experiments at ELSA in Bonn, MAMI in Mainz and COSY in Jülich.
